Ready, Alert, Safe: YASCI Strengthens Disaster Preparedness

Demonstrating its commitment to creating a safe and prepared learning environment, Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. (YASCI) successfully conducted a Disaster Preparedness and Fire Safety Seminar this afternoon at the YASCI Covered Court in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Caloocan City Fire Station.

The seminar brought together students, teachers, and school personnel in a meaningful learning experience focused on emergency preparedness, fire prevention, and disaster response. The activity aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills that can help protect lives and minimize risks during emergencies and unforeseen situations.

Resource speakers from the fire service shared valuable information regarding the causes of fire incidents, preventive measures that can be practiced at home and in school, and the importance of maintaining vigilance and preparedness at all times. Participants were also introduced to established emergency procedures and safety protocols that should be followed during disasters and fire-related incidents.

One of the highlights of the seminar was the hands-on demonstration of fire safety techniques and emergency response procedures. Students and teachers were given the opportunity to observe and learn proper actions that can be taken during critical situations, reinforcing the importance of remaining calm, alert, and informed when responding to emergencies.

The activity emphasized that disaster preparedness is a shared responsibility that requires awareness, cooperation, and continuous education. Through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, participants gained a deeper understanding of how preparedness can significantly reduce risks and contribute to the safety and well-being of the entire community.

School officials expressed their gratitude to the dedicated resource speakers for sharing their expertise and helping foster a culture of safety among learners and educators. The active participation and enthusiasm shown by attendees further highlighted the YASCI community’s commitment to becoming more resilient and prepared in the face of potential emergencies.

As schools continue to prioritize the welfare of their learners, initiatives such as the Disaster Preparedness and Fire Safety Seminar play a crucial role in developing informed and responsible individuals capable of responding effectively during times of crisis.
