The Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. held its first Child Protection Committee Conference for S.Y. 2023-2024 on September 7, 2023, in a ground-breaking move to improve child protection within its educational community.
Students & parents’ representatives, department heads, guidance associates and Mrs. Leony Velarde, a devoted member of the Barangay Child Protection Committee, were all there at this event.
Our stakeholders were able to communicate, work together, and share their thoughts during the conference, which was a crucial step in the school’s ongoing dedication to safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of its beloved pupils.
n her remarks, Mrs. Velarde emphasized the vital role played by community-based child protection committees, such as the Barangay Child Protection Committee, and the efficient coordination system between stakeholders and LSWD in establishing a shield of protection around children in both the school and the larger community.
