YASCIANs actively participated in an earthquake drill as part of the school’s ongoing commitment to disaster preparedness and safety. Excitement and focus filled the classrooms as learners practiced the essential “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique — a crucial emergency response that protects individuals from falling debris and potential injuries during earthquakes. The drill allowed learners to experience firsthand the importance of staying calm, alert, and disciplined in times of emergency.
To further strengthen awareness, YASCI also organized a Fire Safety Seminar and Debriefing Session in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Caloocan. During the session, fire officers provided valuable insights on the different classes of fire, proper escape plans, and effective fire extinguishing techniques. This training gave both learners and teachers a deeper understanding of how to act swiftly and responsibly in case of fire-related incidents.

Through these activities, YASCI continues to uphold its mission of ensuring not only academic excellence but also the safety and preparedness of its learners, teachers, and staff. The earthquake drill and seminar reinforced the message that preparedness saves lives and that every individual plays a vital role in ensuring safety within the school community.
We extend our gratitude to the BFP Caloocan for their partnership and guidance, and we commend our students for their active participation and commitment to safety. Together, we stand stronger, proving that with “Safety First, Panic Never,” we are ready for any challenge.
