YASCI Partners with District Police to Empower Students through PNP LERIS Awareness

Empowering children to understand their rights and take steps to protect themselves is vital in today’s society. At Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. (YASCI), we believe in equipping our students with knowledge that will empower them to contribute to safer communities. To support this initiative, YASCI has partnered with the Office of the District Police Community Affairs and Development Division to introduce the PNP Law Enforcement Reporting Information System (LERIS) to our learners. Through this collaboration, our students are educated on how to safely report incidents of violence and harmful activities to the appropriate authorities.

The Philippine National Police Law Enforcement Reporting Information System (LERIS) is a centralized, efficient reporting platform designed to enhance the transparency and responsiveness of law enforcement across the Philippines. This innovative system allows for real-time reporting, tracking, and management of various law enforcement activities, including criminal incidents and investigations. PNP LERIS improves coordination among police officers, optimizes resource allocation, and facilitates prompt responses, ultimately promoting safer communities.

During the program, students learned about the role of PNP LERIS in the community and its significance in protecting their safety and rights. With guidance from law enforcement officers, YASCI students gained a better understanding of how the system

operates and were encouraged to report any incidents that may compromise their safety. This knowledge empowers students to take proactive steps toward their security, fostering confidence to voice concerns and report suspicious activities responsibly.

We extend our deepest gratitude to PSSg John Mikko Camerino, PSSg Marie Ann Melgar, PCPT Magdalena Obrial, and PLT Ma Gracia E Balderas for their invaluable contributions. Their insights and expertise provided YASCI students with a unique perspective on the role of law enforcement in society and the importance of reporting harmful activities. Their dedication to community engagement reinforces the essential role of police officers in educating and empowering our youth to be informed, responsible citizens.

Through partnerships like this, YASCI aims to instill a sense of social responsibility and security awareness in our students. By educating our learners about PNP LERIS and encouraging them to play an active role in reporting incidents, we strive to contribute to a safer, more transparent community.
