YASCI invited Mr. Francis Felix V. Lagarto, a registered Psychometrician and a practitioner in the field of psychology and human resources to facilitate discussion on common mental health concerns. Throughout the workshop, Mr. Lagarto delved into essential topics such as stress management, emotional well-being, and the significance of maintaining a healthy teacher-student relationship. Our educators learned useful insights and techniques for fostering a caring, supporting environment for students and coworkers by being aware of the complexities of the psychosocial dynamics in the workplace and educational setting. The workshop emphasized the importance of self-care for teachers, recognizing that their well-being directly impacts their ability to be effective educators and role models for our learners.
In the afternoon, Digiflash Concept, Corp., one of the top providers of cloud-based school management system, conducted a comprehensive School Management System Refresher Course for our administrative and teaching staff. The training aimed to enhance their proficiency in utilizing our school’s management system efficiently. Through hands-on sessions, our staff was introduced to the latest features and functionalities of the system. The course equipped them with the necessary skills to handle admissions, attendance tracking, grading, communication, and other essential administrative tasks seamlessly. With the improved understanding of the School Management System, our staff can now optimize their workflow, leading to better communication and collaboration among teachers, parents, and learners.
These two programs have had a profound impact on our school community. The Psychosocial support workshop has enabled our teachers to be more empathetic, understanding, and proactive in supporting our learners’ emotional well-being. As our educators embrace their own self-care practices, they are better equipped to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where learners can thrive.
