As part of its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. (YASCI) successfully conducted the YASCI Safe Space Seminar, highlighted by an Active Shooting Simulation for Junior High School students in partnership with the Philippine National Police.
The activity aimed to strengthen students’ awareness of campus safety while equipping them with practical knowledge and appropriate responses during emergency situations. Through informative discussions and realistic simulation exercises, participants gained a better understanding of the importance of preparedness, situational awareness, and remaining calm during critical incidents.
Resource speakers from the Philippine National Police discussed essential safety protocols, emphasizing the value of following established emergency procedures, communicating effectively with authorities, and cooperating with school personnel during emergencies. The active shooting simulation provided students with an opportunity to observe and practice proper response measures in a controlled and supervised environment.
