On September 24, 2023, a pivotal step towards upholding excellence in education unfolded as the Licensure Examination for Teachers was conducted, aiming to ensure that only the most qualified and proficient educators guide the students of YASCI. This examination, mandated for those aspiring to teach within the Philippine school system, serves as a hallmark of competence and dedication in the teaching profession.
Administered biannually, in March and September, by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers is a rigorous assessment designed to assess the readiness of aspiring educators. Divided into elementary and secondary levels, the examination caters to individuals seeking to teach across various grade levels.
For elementary education, encompassing instruction from 1st to 6th grade, and secondary education, targeting high school teaching, the BLEPT stands as a gateway to fulfilling the dreams of aspiring teachers. However, the journey to success in this examination demands unwavering dedication and perseverance. According to data released by the PRC, the passing rates for the September 2023 BLEPT reflect the arduous nature of the examination, with only 23,782 elementary teachers out of 50,593 examinees (47.01%) and 53,995 secondary teachers out of 95,969 examinees (56.26%) achieving success.
