The Pre-School Curriculum
YASCI adheres to the standardized thematic and integrative Pre-School Curriculum of the Department of Education which ensures the development of the foundational skills among children to prepare them for Grade 1. The curriculum focuses on the child’s total development according to his/her individual needs and socio-cultural background. It shall also take into account the distinctive features of children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive functioning appropriate to their age, developmental stage, and the culture and values of their environment: family, school and community.
In YASCI, spelling and declamation contest enable the children to practice their language skills. In addition, exposure, and participation in school celebrations for Nutrition Month, Math & Science Week, Buwan ng Wika, English Month, United Nations Day and Founding Anniversary (Field Demo) nurture the children’s appreciation for music, and their creativity and artistic sense. Respect for the environment is encouraged through activities like EcoModelo.
Our Pre-School boasts passionate and skilled educators who understand the unique needs of early learners. They tailor teaching methods to suit each child’s developmental stage, fostering independence, promoting social-emotional growth, and creating a nurturing environment for thriving.
