The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) organized a thorough in-service training program for Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) teachers in an ongoing endeavor to improve educational quality and offer students the best learning opportunities.
The training sessions took place at Holy Family School in Quezon City and Claret School in Quezon City, respectively, from August 7-9 and August 11–13, 2023, with the aim of providing educators with contemporary teaching strategies, subject-matter updates, and pedagogical methodologies to foster a more stimulating and productive learning environment.
It’s crucial for our educators to stay updated with new advancements in their line of work in the dynamic educational scene. The PEAC In-Service training gave teachers a chance to delve into subject-matter updates, ensuring that they stay knowledgeable and are able to provide accurate and up-to-date information to the learners.
Effective teaching entails using pedagogical strategies that accommodate various learning styles, apart from just conveying information. This was addressed through the training program’s sessions on differentiated instruction, classroom management, and creating a welcoming learning environment. Teachers can better meet the individual needs of every student by cultivating their pedagogical skills.
In addition to attending the workshops and seminars, the training also promoted interactions and collaboration among teachers from other schools. Teachers get to share their experiences or collaborate on instructional endeavors.
This improves the sense of community among educators and encourages the sharing of best practices, both of which are advantageous to the educational system as a whole.
