Future Chefs Shine in Nutrition Month 2025

This July, our school proudly joined the nationwide celebration of Nutrition Month 2025. he event became a meaningful platform for our learners to showcase not only their culinary talents but also their understanding of the importance of healthy, affordable meals in daily life.

The activities kicked off with our elementary pupils stepping into the role of little chefs. With passion and enthusiasm, they prepared traditional Filipino dishes such as savory kare-kare and sweet, colorful kakanin. Each plate told a story of creativity and love for food, as they carefully balanced both nutrition and presentation. Their dishes were not only tasty and visually appealing but also reflected the joy of discovering cooking at a young age. It was truly inspiring to witness how these future chefs in the making gave their best to promote healthy eating habits.

Our Junior High School learners also rose to the challenge by showcasing full-course meals designed around this year’s theme. From appetizers to main courses and desserts, they proved that nutritious food can be prepared with limited resources — emphasizing that healthy eating does not have to be expensive. With every dish, they showed creativity, teamwork, and a deep understanding of how to maximize ingredients while ensuring taste and quality. Their flavorful creations highlighted the idea that with proper planning and effort, everyone can enjoy meals that are both affordable and nutritious.

To recognize the hard work of our participants, the school held an awarding ceremony where students who displayed outstanding culinary skills, commitment to healthy eating, and creative ways of promoting nutrition awareness were given recognition. Each awardee stood as an inspiration to their fellow learners, encouraging them to live healthier lifestyles and to be more mindful of their daily food choices.

Beyond the competition and prizes, the true highlight of the celebration was the message it imparted: healthy eating is achievable for everyone, even on a budget. The dedication and passion shown by our learners served as a reminder that promoting nutrition is not just about preparing meals — it is also about building habits, values, and a culture of wellness that benefits both individuals and the community.

As we close this year’s celebration, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and express our deepest gratitude to every learner, teacher, and staff member who made Nutrition Month 2025 a success. Truly, the spirit of teamwork, creativity, and commitment to health was alive throughout the event.

Here’s to nurturing not only future chefs but also responsible young individuals who understand the value of good nutrition in building a brighter and healthier future for all!
