Building Bonds and Team Spirit: YASCI Team Building Activities at Shercon Resort and Ecology Park

In a celebration of camaraderie and collaboration, YASCI Grade 11 and Junior High School students recently gathered at Shercon Resort and Ecology Park in Mataas Na Kahoy, Batangas, for their annual team-building activities. Spanning three days of games, challenges, and reflection, this event provided an unforgettable experience designed to strengthen friendships, build leadership skills, and foster team spirit.

The team-building activities kicked off on October 28 and 29, 2024, with the Grade 11 students diving into activities that tested their problem-solving abilities, creativity, and resilience. From obstacle courses to group challenges, every exercise was crafted to encourage teamwork, enhance communication skills, and inspire a shared commitment to overcoming obstacles together. Set against the scenic backdrop of Shercon Resort’s lush greenery, students enjoyed the chance to connect with nature while building relationships with classmates in a fun and supportive environment.

On October 30, 2024, the Junior High School students took their turn at the retreat. Activities included engaging ice-breaker games, trust-building exercises, and team challenges that required collaboration and strategic thinking. With the guidance of teachers and facilitators, students learned valuable lessons on cooperation, patience, and respect, further reinforcing the YASCI values of unity and teamwork. The serene and refreshing atmosphere of Shercon Resort, surrounded by the natural beauty of Batangas, provided an ideal setting for students to reflect, recharge, and connect with peers.

This three-day team-building experience at Shercon Resort was more than just a series of activities; it was a transformative opportunity for students to strengthen their bonds, support each other, and develop their skills as future leaders. Both the Grade 11 and Junior High School students left with a renewed sense of confidence, trust in one another, and memories that will last a lifetime.
