In the midst of the final rush toward graduation caps and moving-up ceremonies, the Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. community recently chose to embrace a different kind of preparation. For the students of School Year 2025–2026, the path to the future began not with a lecture but with a profound and sacred silence. Across multiple days, students from Grade 6, Grade 10, and the entire Senior High School department gathered at the Sta. Krus Parish Church for their traditional Day of Recollection. This sacred pause served as a pivotal moment designed to center their hearts before they step into the next chapter of their lives.
While these students spend their days divided by academic strands and grade levels, the recollection served as a unifying bridge where the focus remained on gratitude and spiritual readiness. The Grade 6 and Grade 10 students took time to reflect on their years of foundational growth and set aside their textbooks to prepare their minds for the increased responsibilities of High School and Senior High. Meanwhile, the Grade 12 HUMSS graduating students spent their hours in deep faith as they reflected on their role in the community and the journey that lies ahead.
The theme of spiritual openness continued with the graduating students from the ICT, GAS, and HE strands who shared a meaningful afternoon of gratitude while reflecting on the technical and vocational skills they have mastered. Similarly, the Grade 12 STEM and ABM students found themselves anchored in faith as they sought spiritual clarity to balance the logic of science and the complexity of commerce with a grounded heart. This diversity of focus across the various strands highlights a shared commitment to entering the next season of life with a clear sense of purpose.
This series of recollections underscores the commitment of the school to a transformative education that values character and spiritual maturity as much as academic excellence. Under the guidance of passionate teachers and committed leadership, students were encouraged to reflect on the challenges they overcame, pray for guidance in their upcoming career choices, and express gratitude to the parents and mentors who have supported them through the years. As these trailblazers prepare to move forward, they carry with them a renewed perspective and a spirit ready for the boundless opportunities of the future.
The message for this season is clear as the Class of 2026 leaves the Sta. Krus Parish Church with their spirits high. No matter how far these achievers go, they remain anchored in the faith and values nurtured within the school halls. Whether they are moving up to a new grade level or graduating into the professional world, they stand ready to change the world, continuing to say a resounding “yes” to the journey that awaits them.
