Our YASCIans had an unforgettable time at Shakey’s Pizza, as they participated in the Shakey’s Junior PizzaMaster activity! This hands-on experience offered students the opportunity to become “Junior Pizzamakers” for a day, creating their very own pizzas from scratch and getting a glimpse into what it takes to make the perfect slice.
The activity was designed to be both educational and entertaining, allowing students to learn the basics of pizza-making in a fun, interactive setting. Each YASCian donned their chef hat and apron, stepping into the role of a true pizzaiolo. They learned how to roll out the dough, add just the right amount of sauce, sprinkle on the cheese, and top it with their favorite ingredients.
The students enjoyed every moment—from shaping the dough to layering the toppings. They were excited to get
creative with their pizzas, combining various ingredients to make their own unique masterpieces. It was wonderful to witness their enthusiasm as they took control of the process, learning about the importance of each step in making the perfect pizza.
After preparing their creations, the pizzas went into the oven, filling the room with the delicious aroma of freshly baked dough and melting cheese. The best part was yet to come—when students finally got to taste their
handmade pizzas. The smiles and proud expressions on their faces as they enjoyed the fruits of their labor were priceless.
The Shakey’s Junior PizzaMaster experience was more than just a fun outing; it was an opportunity for YASCIans to develop their confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills. Each student not only learned how to make pizza but also gained an appreciation for the effort that goes into preparing food. It was a perfect blend of learning and fun—something they will surely remember.
The event concluded with laughter, shared stories, and, of course, lots of pizza. It was a wonderful day that combined hands-on learning with a tasty reward at the end.
