In response to the severe weather conditions brought about by Tropical Depression Enteng and the intensified southwest monsoon, along with the advice of the national and local government, YASCI has transitioned all classes to online mode from September 2 to 5, 2024. This precautionary measure was implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and staff amidst the adverse weather.
Tropical Depression Enteng has been bringing heavy rains, strong winds, and widespread flooding to various regions. The weather system has caused significant disruptions and potential hazards, prompting local authorities to issue warnings and advisories. The enhanced southwest monsoon has further compounded the situation, leading to increased rainfall and potential for further flooding.
Throughout this period, all classes were conducted online to mitigate the risks associated with these weather conditions. Students were encouraged to regularly visit their Microsoft Teams accounts for updates, instructional materials, and communications from their teachers. This transition aimed to minimize disruption to their educational activities while prioritizing their safety.
YASCI is committed to maintaining the continuity of education despite the challenging weather conditions. The school appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all members of the YASCI community during this time.
Stay safe, YASCIANS!
